This week the Musical Wonders team traveled to Danbury, Connecticut to spend the day with over 80 teachers and students at Western Connecticut State University for their Election Day professional development program. We presented a series of hands-on workshops focused on creative music-making and ways to bring more student voice and autonomy into the classroom.
From the very first session, the energy in the room was incredible. Teachers jumped right into musical exploration, collaborated with new colleagues, and created some truly joyful music together. We were inspired by the openness, curiosity, and generosity of everyone who attended.
A special thank-you goes to Professor Matt Dorian for the invitation and for coordinating such a meaningful day of learning for educators across the region. We had an amazing time and were honored to be a part of it.
Below are some of our favorite photos from the event, capturing the creativity, collaboration, and community that define Musical Wonders.
Thanks again to all who joined us. We can’t wait to return to Connecticut and make more musical magic together!
